CHRIS HOYME
SPEAKS AT WORKPLACE VIOLENCE SEMINAR
On February
21, 2008, Chris Hoyme participated in a community-wide workplace
violence roundtable attended by over 200 people that was covered
by various media outlets. Chris spoke on the legal
considerations of workplace violence. His presentation can be

PAUL LARSON
MEMBERSHIP TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF NSIA
On February 25, 2008, Paul
E. Larson accepted membership to the Board of Directors for the
Nebraska Self Insurers Association (NSIA) which is an affiliate
of the National Council of Self Insurers. Paul will be
serving a two year term. The goal of the NSIA is to
preserve and protect employers in the workers' compensation
system and to help minimize their costs as the Nebraska
legislature seeks to modify the workers' compensation laws.

WELCOMED INTO LEADERSHIP ACADEMY OF NSBA
Berens & Tate associate
attorney, Paul E. Larson, has been selected as a member
of the second Leadership Academy class of the Nebraska State Bar
Association. Membership in the class is limited to 25
attorneys selected throughout Nebraska.
As leaders, the group will focus on legislative issues, public
trust and confidence in the judicial system, balance of work and
life, and effective leadership. The goal of the Leadership
Academy is to develop leadership, build relationships, raise
awareness, and enhance diversity.

LIST OF ATTORNEYS IN FOREFRONT OF LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT LAW
Chambers and Partners, in its 2007 edition of
Chambers USA, has listed Kelly Berens, Tim Loudon, and
Rachel
Alexander as premier attorneys in the field of labor and
employment law. The publication, which is compiled with research
from clients and the general legal community, lists attorneys by
state in various specialty legal fields, including corporate,
real estate, and labor and employment law. This year, attorneys
from Berens & Tate comprised three of only eighteen attorneys on
the list. The firm was listed as being an "outstanding
traditional labor law firm" whose attorneys are "professional,
no-frills and right-on."
